Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for seasoned professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to women during childbirth.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3x12 Nights (1900-0730)
• Weekend Requirements: Yes (specific blocks may be arranged based on schedule postings)

Unit Information

The unit is equipped with:

• 7 labor beds
• 3 triage beds
• 2 Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) beds
• 16 mother-baby beds

This unit primarily serves adult women of childbearing age.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet the experience criteria
• Certifications: BLS and NRP required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred

Responsibilities

The Labor and Delivery RN will be responsible for:

• Providing individualized patient care to laboring women
• Monitoring the health status of mothers and newborns
• Assisting in labor assessments and delivering newborns
• Collaborating with medical teams to ensure the best outcomes

Additional Information

• Charting System: EPIC
• Floating within the Hospital: Yes
• Floating to sister Hospitals: No
• Guaranteed Hours: Subject to low census regulations; Providers may be called off without charge in increments up to 1 shift within a two-week cycle.
• Parking Costs: Monthly parking available

• Local candidates are accepted.
• Pursuing a pending license is not accepted.
• Requests for time off (RTO) are limited to a maximum of 1 week and holiday work is mandatory unless stated otherwise.
