Warehouse LeadAs a Warehouse Lead, you will direct daily warehouse operations and lead a team to ensure all goals and operational objectives are met. In this role, you will assign daily work, supervise picking, receiving, and replenishment, and organize outgoing orders to maintain high accuracy. You will identify areas for operational improvement, update work procedures, maintain warehouse equipment, enforce safety programs, and resolve cross-departmental issues. Maintaining high visibility on the floor, you will lead by example, coach and mentor staff, and work closely with management to drive team performance and overall operational excellence.What You Will DoPerform and supervise, picking, receiving, and put away of replenishment, or repack.Assign and leads daily work of staff members.Review, prioritize, and organize all outgoing orders and verifies order accuracy.Responsible for identifying areas of improvement and updating existing work procedures and practices.Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and in proper working order.Maintain a high degree of visibility and access to employees on warehouse floor.Lead by example, trains, and motivates staff.Resolve warehouse-related issues with representatives from other department throughout the company.Coordinate with the area manager to address personnel issues and requests.Maintain a working knowledge of all warehouse operations and WMS functions.Maintain safety programs and all required safety training for assigned warehouse staff; complying with and implementing safety requirements and regulationsLead by example: trains, coaches and mentor's staffPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor.What We Are Looking ForHigh School Diploma or GED3-5 Years of warehouse experience0-3 years of leadership experienceForklift Certification required – must be able to maintain a current certification on a standup high-reach, sit down forklift and transportersAble to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyProficient verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to effectively communicate with employees throughout all levels of the organizationAbility to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environmentCan easily adapt to shifting prioritiesExcellent attention to detailUnderstanding of compliance and safetyFluent reading and writing skillsDependableTeam orientedProficient computer skillsQuality consciousAbility to operate motor vehicles or other large power equipmentKnowledge of vendor regulationsKnowledge of warehouse best practicesLeadership skills; can act as a mentor and coach to employees with the ability to motivate team membersStrong commitment enforcing excellence and high company standardsProblem solverProven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesA strong work ethic and ability to perform labor intensive tasksAbility to understand the organizations needs and goals, and align self with overall organizational strategyPreferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of WHS (Hi Jump a plus)Working ConditionsEnvironment: WarehouseExtreme Exposures: Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold and damp or drafty conditionsSchedule: Variable schedule; including nights and weekends – occasional overtime may be requiredPhysical Requirements:Heavy; Lifting up to 75 lbs: regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs with a pallet jacketRegularly required to reach with hands and armsRegularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; must be able to be on feet for majority of shiftFrequently grasps, turns, manipulate objects of varying size and weight that require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordinationOccasionally required to sit, climb, or balanceVision requirements include ability to perceive things closely, from a distance, peripherally, depth and ability to adjust and focus – reading and visually verifying informationTravel Required: Yes – Limited; will be required to travel between multiple worksites based on volume and business needsWhat We OfferThe hourly range for this position is $21.62 to $21.82 per hour. The base compensation may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply.
