Scheduled Hours37.5Position SummaryResearch Technician to work on the production and analysis of antibiotic-like compounds produced by non-pathogenic soil bacteria.Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:Conducts, evaluates, and maintains experiments; collects data and performs analysis.Data management.Maintains safe and clean lab space.Trains and manages undergraduates in conduct of research.Restocks chemical and consumable inventories.Performs other duties as assigned.Working Conditions:Works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards.Must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
