Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric groups by employing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish unified care strategies.
• Provide educational resources and support for patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the process.
• Keep precise and up-to-date documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous learning and collaboration with peers to remain at the forefront of advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
