Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using standardized testing and observational assessments.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that address both immediate objectives and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy services concentrating on areas such as language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to ensure a seamless approach to care.
• Provide valuable education to patients and families, empowering them to support progress beyond their therapy visits.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, maintaining continuity and care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain informed about the latest developments in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preference for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
