Job Title: Lab Assistant, Cardiovascular Job Requisition ID: JR0000001530 Number of Openings: 1 Shift: Day (United States of America) Compensation Details: COMPENSATION WILL BE COMMENSURATE WITH THE APPLICANT'S EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS. Job Description: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Demonstrated knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, equipment, and terminology. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff in an educational environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Clinical or laboratory experience in a cardiovascular setting. Experience working in an academic or technical college environment. Current professional certification (e.g., RCS, RCIS, or equivalent), if applicable. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist instructors during cardiovascular laboratory sessions and clinical simulations. Prepare lab spaces prior to instruction, including setup of cardiovascular equipment, supplies, and instructional materials. Maintain, clean, and properly store cardiovascular lab equipment according to safety and program standards. Provide guidance to students during lab activities under the direction of faculty. Monitor lab sessions to ensure compliance with safety protocols and institutional policies. Assist with inventory management, including tracking, stocking, and ordering lab supplies as needed. Support documentation and recordkeeping related to lab activities and equipment usage. Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to faculty or program leadership. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Cardiovascular Technology program. COMPETENCIES: Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to lift, move, and set up lab equipment as required. SALARY: This is a part-time position without insurance benefits; work hours will not exceed 29 per week. Hourly rate is commensurate with education and work experience. SPECIAL NOTES: It shall be a condition of employment to submit to a background investigation.
