Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Lewiston, Maine. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a busy healthcare facility. This role involves providing direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department, including assessment, administering medications, patient education, and documentation. The ER nurse collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment. Job Details: Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid nursing licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications, at least 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting, a minimum of 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience, and educational requirements as per state regulations Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charge nurse and preceptor roles, ability to work independently, strong assessment skills, and familiarity with emergency department protocols Additional Information: Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered. Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid. The healthcare provider reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts within the 13-week contract period. Applicants must reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility.
