Sanitation Tech

Job Description We are seeking an experienced sanitation technician to provide contract sanitation services at large food manufacturing facilities. The role involves wet and dry cleaning methods to clean production lines, silos, shipping areas, and other facility locations, including manufacturing equipment, machinery, offices, canteen, bathrooms, and more. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package with medical coverage for employees and their dependents. Pay $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, geographic location, and market data. Responsibilities Perform all tasks assigned according to the ABM Sanitation Program. Follow all food safety and general safety guidelines. Disassemble, clean/sanitize, and reassemble equipment. Accurately clean equipment areas on a scheduled basis. Sweep, mop, and maintain offices, restrooms, lunchrooms, and external areas. Use the Master Cleaning Schedule to implement accurate procedures. Collaborate with leadership to maintain plant procedures and operations guidelines for compliance with food laws and labeling requirements. Understand and use appropriate cleaners and sanitizers for all equipment and facilities. Perform daily self‑inspection and monitor sanitation issues. Inspect work prior to submission to lead. Know the Lock‑out/Tag‑out safety program. Assist in training new employees or those changing job classifications. Report equipment problems to leadership or supervisors immediately. Communicate safety and health matters and promote safety positively. Plan and carry out job assignments while avoiding hazards. Work in confined spaces following protocols. Work in all conditions, including wet, humid, hot, and cold. Work at all heights within the facility. Operate industrial equipment such as scissor lift, boom lift, and floor scrubber. Follow a flexible work schedule; presence on time, ready to work, and full hours each day. Qualifications Required: 18 years of age or older. No experience required; on‑the‑job training provided. No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required. Preferred: Prior food plant sanitation or related experience, preferably in a food manufacturing facility.
