Optician (Part-Time)Location: San Diego, CA
Schedule: 3 Days Per Week
Compensation: $27.00 per Hour (W-2 Employee)
About the OpportunityWe are seeking a dependable and compassionate Optician to join our team serving patients throughout the San Diego area. This position offers a consistent 3-day-per-week schedule and the opportunity to provide meaningful vision care while working in a patient-focused environment.
If you're looking for a role outside of the traditional retail optical setting and enjoy building relationships with patients, this could be an excellent fit.
What You'll Do- Assist with patient intake and vision screenings
- Support eye care providers during patient appointments
- Help patients select, fit, and adjust eyewear
- Educate patients on proper eyewear use and care
- Maintain optical equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace
- Complete basic documentation and administrative tasks
- Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and compassion
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control protocols
- 2+ years of experience as an Optician preferred
- Experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of lens types, frame fitting, and optical measurements
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Reliable transportation
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused
- Experience working with seniors is a plus
- $27.00 per hour
- W-2 employment status
