• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing techniques.
• Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to establish comprehensive, team-based care plans.
• Provide educational support for patients and their families to promote progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions for speech therapy to guarantee ongoing care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Engage in continuing education and teamwork to stay updated on the latest developments in the field.

Education Requirements

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if awaiting ASHA certification.

Necessary Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting the role is a requirement.
