Description

• Conduct evaluations for a variety of patient populations, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups, through standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans that focus on achieving both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions centered on areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and families to bolster progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for patients.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
