Job Summary:
Histologist in Santa Rosa, California. This position involves preparing histology specimens including grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and manual and automated immunohistochemistry. The role supports routine hospital anatomical pathology services and requires hospital experience with a focus on grossing and histology techniques.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift with 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in histology or equivalent, Associate's Degree in Science, CA state license preferred, and at least 2 years of hospital histology experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, grossing, embedding, microtomy, immunohistochemistry, and special stains.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals in the vicinity.
• Additional Information: Must have accurate experience in histology including manual and automated staining techniques, specimen processing, and slide preparation. Candidate must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. References cover 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years.
