Argan Home Care is looking for a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing team in Port Charlotte, FL and surrounding areas. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference by helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life — right in the comfort of their own homes. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for home care patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' functional independence
- Provide therapeutic interventions targeting ADLs, fine motor skills, cognitive function, and home safety
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and home modification strategies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Valid Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master's or Doctoral degree preferred)
- NBCOT certification required
- Home health or home care experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medicare home health guidelines and documentation requirements
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for home visits in the Port Charlotte area
- Excellent communication, time management, and patient-centered care skills
