VP, Fund Finance and Strategy

Oliver James have partnered with a global alternative investment management as they look to hire a VP of Fund Finance and Strategy to help lead a newly created role within their Policy and Strategy department. They are ideally looking for somebody with strong experience coming from Public Accounting or Asset Management with an entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to lead, and strong collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities Advise on complex fund transactions and accounting treatment. Develop and maintain accounting policies in compliance with U.S. GAAP. Research and implement new accounting standards. Review financial statements and regulatory filings. Maintain SOX controls and support audit activities. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent accounting practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required. 5-10 years of public accounting experience. Strong knowledge of ASC 946 and ASC 820. Experience with technical accounting research and policy development. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
