Assistant Director Early Learning School
Childrens Lighthouse of Chantilly | Chantilly, VA
Full-Time | In-Person

Childrens Lighthouse of Chantilly is hiring an experienced Assistant Director to support daily operations, school systems, staff communication, family relationships, and licensing readiness.

This is a leadership support role for someone mature, organized, dependable, and experienced in early childhood or school administration.

The right candidate is warm with families, steady with teachers, strong with systems, and able to support leadership or step into Director duties when the Director takes a break, is on leave, or is otherwise unavailable.

What Were Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of early childhood administration, school administration, childcare leadership, or related administrative leadership experience
• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred
• Prior Assistant Director, Director, Program Coordinator, Operations Lead, Curriculum Lead, or similar experience strongly preferred
• Strong with systems, checklists, calendars, documentation, and follow-up
• Experience with licensing compliance, staff supervision, parent communication, and school operations
• Warm, professional, organized, discreet, and calm under pressure
• Comfortable supporting teachers and families with clarity and care
• Able to step into Director duties when needed
• Must meet Virginia childcare employment requirements, including background checks

Role Focus

You will help keep the school organized, compliant, welcoming, and well-supported by assisting with daily operations, staff follow-up, family communication, school systems, and leadership coverage.
