Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for Maintenance Technicians who will support daily production by troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on complex CNC equipment, including 5‑axis mills, mill‑turn machines, and lathes. The role involves diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues related to PLCs, HMIs, servos, sensors, and machine tool components such as ballscrews, linear rails, and gearboxes. The technician will execute scheduled PMs, respond to equipment downtime, collaborate with production teams, operate material‑handling equipment as needed, and maintain a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Skills and Requirements

Top Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment repairing machines, equipment, and equipment.

• 3+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical repair

• Must have machine electrical repair skills

• 3+ years of experience with one or more of the following CNC control systems: Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Allen Bradley,Okuma • 5+ years of experience as a maintenance technician or field service engineer

• Aerospace industry experience

• Experience installing, aligning and commissioning 3 and 5 axis machines in an aerospace environment

• Experience adjusting CNC geometry components including – straightness, squareness, linear accuracy, servo tuning, tool center point control

• Experience in the application & operation of precision machine tools in aerospace manufacturing environment

• Experience operating a forklift and other related equipment

• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and drawings
