Psychiatrist - Psych Adult

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Position
Location: Kingsboro Psychiatric Center, Brooklyn, NY
Work Mode: Onsite
Duration: 40-hour weekly assignment with significant evening/night coverage
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care and medication management
- Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies
- Lead medical codes and manage behavioral crises and acute psychiatric issues
- Round on patients requiring elevated observation (1:1 or Q15)
- Complete incident reports and restraint/seclusion documentation
- Coordinate transfers to outside emergency departments when needed
- Provide urgent medical and psychiatric coverage during assigned shifts
Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted New York medical license
- Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN)
- Minimum 3 years post-residency experience
- Enrolled and eligible for Medicare and NY Medicaid
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Maintain malpractice insurance
- Complete site orientation and TRUST training
