As a School Psychologist working on a contract basis, you’ll collaborate closely with staff and families to help students overcome challenges and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Qualifications:

• Active School Psychologist credential issued in Rhode Island
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school-aged students preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of special education law and assessment practices
• Ability to adapt to new environments and work effectively within diverse teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological and academic evaluations for students referred to special education
• Develop and implement targeted interventions and support plans
• Provide individual and group counseling as needed
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to facilitate student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
• Maintain status documentation and adhere to legal and ethical guidelines

This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week across five days, primarily serving elementary and middle grades.
