Job Category: Direct Care Requisition Number: DIREC024038 Posted : July 3, 2026 Full-Time On-site Rate : $17.13 USD per hour Locations Showing 1 location Role Overview The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides medically necessary, appropriate personal care and community living supports to persons with intellectual developmental disabilities, severe mental illness, and/or co-occurring diagnoses. The DSP may assist with mobility, activities of daily living, communication, cognition, health management, social networking, vocational, leisure time management, and community participation. Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution. Relationships Establish collaborative relationships built on trust and empathy through consistent communication. Foster a spirit of partnership with individuals served, the community, and other professionals. Activities and Daily Living Skills Help build effective skills for problem‑solving, communication, and independence. Assist person served to identify and/or participate in social and leisure interests and activities such as transport/escort to stores, concerts, movies, or in‑house social events. Support activities of daily living: dressing, bathing, combing hair, trimming nails, restroom assistance, cooking, and more. Health Monitor vitals for any medical condition or illness. Promote positive behavior. Attend medical appointments and relay accurate information between provider and care team. Assist in implementation of medical, behavioral, and clinical care plans and provide accurate documentation. Community Connect person served with community opportunities to develop relationships.
