3RD SHIFT SANITATION SUPERVISOR

Sanitation SupervisorThis position will be responsible for overseeing the Sanitation Department. Which consists of cleaning and sanitizing the plant to maintain conformance to USDA standards within a schedule to ensure maximum operating time.Essential duties and responsibilities:Oversees daily operations of the sanitation department.Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.Arrange to have appropriate records prepared and maintained.Work closely with production supervisors and management.Supervises, train and develop sanitation team members.Develop and follow sanitation procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), USDA and FDA regulations for all sanitation tasks.Set up, stock and maintain cleaning equipment and suppliesComply with, understand and enforces all company policies and standards.Enforce and follow all Food Safety and Plant Safety policies, practices and protocols.Basic qualifications:Previous Sanitation experience is requiredPrior experience in food manufacturing plant or similar; meat experience strongly preferredCurrent or previous management or supervisor experience.Extensive knowledge and technical skill in sanitation and meat processing jobs and chemicalsManagerial skills; good interpersonal relations; ability to handle conflict.Good verbal and written communication skills.Team Player with leadership skillsExperience in leading groups of manufacturing employees, including setting team and individual objectives, managing individual and team performance and building a team approach to problem solving.Outstanding communication skills in order to lead engage and motivate individuals and/or teams.A thorough understanding of manufacturing principles and leadership applications within a manufacturing environment.Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)Detail oriented and strong analytical skillsHighly organizedSpanish/English bilingual desired but not requiredWork environment and physical requirements:Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of timeSlippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noiseRequired ability to handle multiple tasks concurrentlySafely handling and being exposed to chemicals.May be exposed to stressful situations and schedule changes.Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50# unassistedResume requiredRequired: Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
