Lead Bartender (Double Eagle)/Seasonal Employment

Job Description The Double Eagle serves players and members of The Chautauqua Golf Club, providing snacks, lunch, and a full‑service bar in the air‑conditioned clubhouse, under a covered patio, and around the greens on our mobile beverage cart. Compensation Base pay $13.00 per hour plus tipped earnings. Employees scheduled for 20% or more non‑tipped work or who average below minimum wage (including tips) will receive a minimum wage of $16.00 per hour. Responsibilities Knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor. Consistently prep mixed drinks according to Athenaeum Hotel standards. Receive and process bar beverage orders from service staff. Provide fast‑paced bar and cocktail service to guests. Clean glasses, utensils, and the bar area. Restock beer, wine, and glasses as necessary. Track all orders through the POS system and report daily sales. Track complimentary, unwanted, or lost beverages. Know and understand NYS Liquor Laws. Oversee front‑of‑house staff and monitor restaurant operations. Interact with guests and ensure satisfaction exceeds expectations. Maintain standards of a fine dining establishment in a fast‑paced environment. Work alongside kitchen staff to ensure quality control of the product. Assist management in overall cost‑effectiveness within budget. Conduct training for seasonal staff. Ensure employees maintain a clean space and atmosphere. All other duties as assigned. Schedule Seasonal employment during summer operations (June–August), with flexible full‑ and part‑time schedules. Typically eight‑hour shifts, with start times ranging from 5 am to 5 pm. Schedules may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Benefits Referral bonus of $500 (after taxes) for existing employees who refer new hires who remain employed for at least 90 days (30 days for seasonal positions). No employer‑provided housing. Employees receive a traditional Chautauqua gate pass, free of cost, which provides access to many of our programs at the Amphitheater.
