About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required (not expiring within 30 days of start) Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience - Proficiency in Epic charting system - Ability to float within scope of care/practice - Minimum 4 weekend shifts per month - Full contract length required Description: Orientation is held twice a month. Auto offer with no requests for days off. Must have experience with appropriate patient ratios. Ratio of patients is 1:6. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring is necessary. Skills required include: - Chest tube management - Non-invasive airway management - Oxygen administration - Peripheral line management - Renal failure management - Wound care and management The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and social services. Patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, and respiratory failure among others. Flexibility to float to sister locations is required. Blocked scheduling will not be accommodated.
