The Emergency Department at St. Anthony Hospital, one of our proud Magnet designated hospitals, is a verified American College of Surgeons' Level I Trauma Center. We are a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center and a cardiac receiving center. We are a high-volume ED treating a variety of medical and cardiac conditions with 46 beds and approximately 58,000 visits per year. We are the home of Flight for Life Colorado and surrounding areas bring around 1,000 patients from medical to trauma. We are a desirable department as we are the Premier Level I ED, Emergency Services Association Lantern Award recipient, providing exemplary care, ANCC equivalent of a Magnet, and we attract the best and brightest as an exemplary model department, recognized on national level of being the top one percent. As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for:

• Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following:

Education Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs

Experience Requirements

• One year RN ED experience
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Licenses/Certification Requirements

• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
• BLS from AHA
• ACLS from AHA
• ENPC or PALS required
• NIHSS required
• NRP required
• TNCC required (or within one year from hire)

Physical Requirements

• Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center where we provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region through our state-of-the-art medical campus and home base for Flight For Life Colorado. With four trauma rooms including the T-10 room, a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, our staff can provide life-saving care to the most severely ill and injured patients.
