Patient Dining Associate

Overview Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Patient Dining Associate. As a Patient Dining Associate, you make a big difference in a patient's stay in the hospital! Full-time, rotating shifts (Cafeteria open 5:30am-7:30pm), 12‑hour shifts. Education High School Graduate or equivalent. Experience in lieu of a diploma is accepted. Experience Customer Service Experience Required. Responsibilities Provide patient meal service on assigned units. Communicate patient food issues, concerns, and needs to Food & Nutrition Services and nursing staff regarding nutrition. Assist the dietitian with monitoring patients on NPO, clear liquid, and full liquid diets and record food intake for patients on intake analysis. React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services and accurate application of physician‑ordered modified diets. Maintain familiarity with dietary restrictions on special and modified diets to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. Represent the organization in a professional manner and uphold patient satisfaction on assigned units.
