We are positioned to meet the high production volumes of our customers with added capacity for growth.Position Summary:The Senior Accountant ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. In this role you will maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded. Additionally, you may review and guide the work of lower-level accountants. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in timely and accurate financial reporting as well as implementation of controls around operations and SOX compliance.Essential Responsibilities:Oversee various month-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries and related supporting schedulesSpecific accounting areas include warranty accruals, company payroll/benefit account review, prepaid items, as well as debt and fixed asset managementConduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenanceCommunicate findings as needed throughout the companyPrepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reportsAnalyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expensesCreate financial and accounting ad-hoc reports for analysis by internal and external regulatory audit complianceWork on various special projects and perform other accounting assignments as neededDevelop and document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibilityWork with Internal Audit and the Accounting Manager to support the remediation process around internal controlsOther duties assigned by managementRequirements:Bachelor's Degree, in Accounting or FinanceAccounting experience at an SEC registrant company or public accounting firm with SEC clients.Proficient understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Experience running financial reports and complex accounting operations with minimum supervisionPreferred Qualifications:Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferredEpicor ERP system knowledgeManufacturing industry experiencePSI offers a wide range of benefits from medical, dental, and vision to pet insurance as well as discounted prescription plans.
