Senior Accountant

Job Summary As a Senior Accountant, you will join our Accounting team and support a fast‑paced, high‑growth fintech environment, working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. You will own key month‑end close activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations, analyzing financial statement fluctuations, and supporting audits and process improvements to strengthen controls and scalability as the business grows. This position reports to the Controller. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform month‑end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts Perform financial statement analyses and document meaningful explanations for fluctuations Review financial statements to ensure transactions and consolidations are properly reflected and in accordance with GAAP Participate in streamlining and process improvement projects, enhancing the internal controls over accounting processes and systems Assist in implementing new accounting policies and procedures Prepare schedules and reports for management and external service providers Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility, including preparation of audit schedules Support management in completing special projects, ad‑hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned Support financial reporting and planning teams, as necessary Required Qualifications and Skills BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field 2+ years of accounting experience Strong knowledge and application of GAAP and internal controls Ability to execute, follow‑up, and ensure attention to detail Commitment to process improvement and the ability to think “out‑of the box” Excellent time‑management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask High degree of dedication to improvement and strong sense of ownership Strong Excel is required Compensation Salary: $90K + Bonus + Benefits Bonus If You Have Financial Services experience NetSuite or similar product experience CPA (or eligible) Experience overseeing technical audits Fintech/SaaS experience What We Offer Innovation and Impact: Contribute to pioneering projects in a dynamic and challenging environment.
