REVENUE SPECIALIST III

Job Summary Revenue Specialist III in the General Tax Administration Program’s Receivables Management, Field Operations – Collections Process located in the Fort Myers Service Center. The incumbent contacts taxpayers to resolve tax liabilities, coordinates filing and enforcement actions for taxes administered by the Department of Revenue, and executes levies, garnishments, and transferee liabilities. Additional duties include issuing subpoenas, preparing legal affidavits, performing physical asset inventories, securing legal service of documents, and recommending agency actions. Minimum Requirements Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue within the General Tax Administration Program. At least nine months of experience collecting tax obligations within the General Tax Administration Program. Substitutions Eighteen months of experience working with accounts receivables, banking, or collections can substitute for the required nine months of experience collecting tax obligations. Special Notes This position travels locally to taxpayers’ business locations; occasional overnight travel may be required for training purposes. The employee will use their own transportation, and travel costs will be reimbursed according to agency policy. Salary The hiring salary generally will not exceed $3,599.98 monthly ($43,199.76 annually).
