Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with precision and attention to detail
- Assist in tax planning strategies, including estate planning, mergers & acquisitions, and investment analysis
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by staying current on tax law changes
- Analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts to support accurate tax reporting
- Reconcile accounts, perform double entry bookkeeping, and maintain accurate records using accounting software like QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain complex tax concepts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or finance with a focus on tax compliance and reporting
- Familiarity with tax law, individual tax preparation, corporate tax expertise, and auditing processes
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks,Drake Tax, and Excel-based financial report writing
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data for strategic decision-making
- Effective client communication skills to explain complex tax issues clearly and professionally
