Circuit Breaker Tech III

Position Summary A Circuit Breaker Tech III performs general maintenance on electric circuit breakers across a broad spectrum of manufacturers while following all safety rules and best practices. This position will report to local management. Job Responsibilities Perform general maintenance on electric circuit breakers across a broad spectrum of manufacturers. Perform final electrical and mechanical functional tests if required. Inspect, dismantle, clean, repair, reassemble, and calibrate all types of electric circuit breakers. Perform basic electrical testing to ensure proper operation in accordance with customer requirements; test, troubleshoot, and calibrate circuit breakers and auxiliary devices following OEM guidelines. Prepare test sheets documenting all "as found" and "as left" conditions and testing results. Maintain strong client relationships through quality and quantity of work performed. Complete test reports to company and customer standards and timelines. Continuously improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and collaborate with other departments. Communicate with PM, manager, or other designee for effective problem resolution and transfer of pertinent information on jobs in process and completed. Work with team members to effectively complete work assignments. Handle projects independently; coach, mentor, and direct work of CB I and CB II as directed. Maintain a neat and orderly work area; observe all safety rules and company policies. Work nights and weekends as business needs dictate; flexible hours, holidays, and night work required. Provide offsite technical support as required or assigned by manager. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills High School diploma/GED and minimum 5 years of experience in a related field. Mechanical aptitude with experience overhauling and maintaining mechanical equipment such as motors, engines, or similar devices. Some knowledge of circuit breakers for low voltage switchgear up to 600 V and medium voltage up to 15 kV. Basic understanding of electrical power systems, ability to read schematics or wiring diagrams, and an aptitude for problem evaluation. Consistently complete projects on time. Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA and state safety standards. Knowledge of industry standards such as NETA, OSHA, IEEE, NFPA. Proven mechanical skills and experience with different types of low and high voltage equipment. Effective problem‑solving skills. Basic computer skills for data entry, looking up information, and creating reports. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to follow directions and work in a team. Customer focused; ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work. Valid driver’s license if the position utilizes a company vehicle. Additional Information Travel: 0% Type: Full‑time Location: Lebanon, TN Compensation: $30‑$35 per hour depending on experience. Relocation: No relocation provided.
