M3 Solutions is growing, and we’re looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team.

We are a locally owned technology company serving businesses throughout Middle Tennessee and surrounding areas with managed IT, cybersecurity, networking, cloud communications, and technology solutions.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, working directly with customers, and getting hands-on experience across a wide variety of IT environments. You’ll work both remotely and on-site with our customers, assisting with day-to-day technical issues as well as installations, deployments, and ongoing IT management.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support to business customers
• Troubleshoot Windows workstations, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
• Diagnose network and internet connectivity issues
• Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and related services
• Install, configure, and maintain computers and network equipment
• Assist with user onboarding and offboarding
• Configure user accounts, permissions, email, and Microsoft 365 services
• Install and manage endpoint security, monitoring, and backup software
• Troubleshoot wired and wireless networks
• Assist with switches, access points, firewalls, and other network infrastructure
• Document customer environments and completed work
• Create, update, and properly document service tickets
• Escalate advanced technical issues when necessary
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers
• Travel to customer locations as needed
• Participate in new-customer onboarding and technology deployments

Experience in the following areas is preferred:

• IT help desk or technical support
• Computer and Windows troubleshooting
• Networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, switches, and firewalls
• Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting
• Microsoft Windows 10/11
• Windows Server and Active Directory
• Hardware installation and troubleshooting
• Remote troubleshooting and support

Experience with any of the following technologies is a plus, but not required:

• Datto RMM
• Autotask PSA
• Ubiquiti / UniFi
• WatchGuard firewalls
• SonicWall firewalls
• Fortinet / FortiGate firewalls
• Barracuda Email Security / Email Protection
• RingCentral
• Microsoft 365 administration
• Windows Server
• Active Directory and Group Policy
• Cybersecurity tools, EDR, SOC, and endpoint protection
• Backup and disaster recovery solutions
• VoIP and business phone systems
• Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments

Experience with Datto RMM and Autotask PSA is especially helpful. Experience with networking platforms, firewalls, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, VoIP, and MSP tools is highly desirable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel to customer locations when needed
• Strong computer troubleshooting skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to safely lift and carry computers, UPS units, networking equipment, and similar IT equipment
• Ability to pass any required pre-employment screening

IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, WatchGuard, or similar certifications are a plus but are not required.
