Plasma Sensing Systems Engineer

Salary: $161,000 - 221,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a PhD, or a masters degree with relevant experience, in Engineering or Physics
• We are looking for demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: RF/DC plasma systems, plasma sensing, or algorithm development
• We need 3–5 years of experience in the semiconductor equipment industry
• We expect strong data analysis skills using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools
• We value experience in a multidisciplinary R&D environment spanning software, hardware, and algorithms
• We require excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence a range of stakeholders

• Lead and deliver systems engineering projects combining sensor, algorithm, and control system modules for plasma etch systems from concept through production release
• Develop and refine algorithms for automation and advanced control of complex etch subsystems, including RF power, pulsed voltage, flow, and temperature
• Identify and close gaps in sensor technologies needed to diagnose equipment performance in a production setting
• Build and qualify prototypes of new designs, or source complete subsystems from external suppliers and verify compliance with detailed specifications
• Design and implement solutions that combine classical mathematical methods with deep learning approaches to solve productivity challenges
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Field, Marketing, Product, Applications, Software, and Systems to gather requirements and integrate sensor and control solutions
