Job Opportunity

Position: Registered Nurse - Postpartum

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

This is a 97-bed postpartum unit featuring a Level IV maternal and Level III NICU. Our annual birth volume is approximately 12,000, with around 1,000 births each month, making us one of the largest facilities in the nation.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care to postpartum patients.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting appropriately.
Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Educate patients and families regarding postpartum care and recovery.

Patient Care Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 3:1 and 4:1, with occasional 2:1 ratios based on patient acuity.

Qualifications

Must Have:
- Current BLS certification
- NRP Advanced Provider certification
Preferred: Previous experience in labor/delivery or antepartum/postpartum settings.

Work Environment

The unit consists of:

24 Beds
26 Staff Members:

1 Charge Nurse
4 Registered Nurses (RNs)
1 Clerk during the day

Technology and Equipment

We utilize EMR Meditech and CPN for patient documentation and management.

The required scrub color is navy blue. Please refrain from wearing any unacceptable attire.
