Program Details The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) position is a development‑focused role designed to prepare you for a future CVS Store Manager. Over 16 weeks, you will participate in a self‑paced, collaborative training program that includes virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Support comes from a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach. Responsibilities Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to support and lead your team. Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences throughout the structured program. Support your store as a management team member and lead consistently with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues in support of the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; a four‑year college degree preferred or equivalent experience. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor. Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager at any location within the designated market. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. Anticipated full‑time hours of 45 per week. Pay & Benefits Pay range: $18.50 – $23.88 per hour (base hourly rate). Additional Information Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion to Store Manager; promotion depends on performance and availability of openings.
