Physical Therapist

High School (1 Position)

Qualifications (Required):

• Valid License as a Physical Therapist.
• Successful experience as a physical therapist.
• Experience implementing direct physical therapy services (including gross motor and/or physical disabilities which will allow them to access the school safely) for students within sub-separate and inclusion classes.
• Ability to relate/communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
• Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.

Qualifications (Preferred):

• Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Program Managers and Program Coordinator to provide direct physical therapy services (including gross motor and/or physical disabilities which will allow them to access the school safely) services to students on IEP's.
• Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
• Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
• Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator.
• Write end of summer progress reports for each student served.

Duration:

Program Administration and Implementation 103 hours total to include the following:

• Professional In-service Days (Date TBD 3 hours).
• 20 days, Monday-Thursday, from July 6 – August 6 (7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.).

Stipend: $40 an hour, $4,120 total (20 days/5 hrs + 1 inservice at 3 hours)
