Automotive Service Technician

Overview Automotive Service Technician at Mills Automotive Group in Smithfield, North Carolina. This full-time role is on our new KIA team in Smithfield, NC. Compensation ranges from $18.00 - $38.00 per hour, paid semimonthly. Compensation This range is provided by Mills Automotive Group. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $38.00/hr Hourly rate of $18 to $38 per hour , paid semimonthly. Responsibilities Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues Repair and replace damaged, worn, or faulty parts Regularly maintain and service vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks Use specialized equipment and tools to diagnose, repair, and service vehicles Keep accurate records of repairs and services performed Stay up-to-date with new automotive technology and techniques through training and workshops Communicate with customers to explain services, answer questions, and provide recommendations for future maintenance and repairs Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as an Automotive Service Technician preferred ASE certification and/or manufacturer training a plus Knowledge of automotive diagnostic equipment and tools Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Valid driver's license and clean driving record Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Must have basic computer skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance options Retirement savings plan Paid time off and holidays EEOC Statement Mills Auto Group is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
