This role ensures guests enjoy a seamless dining experience through attentive service, menu knowledge, and thoughtful recommendations. The Server creates memorable experiences by anticipating guest needs, maintaining service standards, and contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Team members are expected to embody Meyer Jabara Hotels' J Quality Behaviors: Joy, Jump, Join, by demonstrating passion for hospitality, proactive service, and collaboration in every guest and colleague interaction. Service Duties Provide warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service to all guestsTake accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS systemDeliver food and beverages promptly and ensure quality and presentation standardsDescribe menu items, specials, and make personalized recommendationsMonitor tables and anticipate guest needs throughout the dining experienceComplete opening and closing side work dutiesMaintain cleanliness and organization of dining areasCollaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless serviceHandle guest concerns professionally and escalate when neededFollow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelinesOther duties as assignedExperience & Education: Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred Strong communication and guest service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with POS systems preferred Professional appearance and demeanor Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 30-50 lbs Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly during service Ability to perform repetitive motions
