Registration Coordinator

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24 * 24 hour evening shift position - alternating week days 3pm to 1130pm including one weekend a month (Saturday & Sunday) with alternating holidays. Responsible for registering patients and updating information in the patient's electronic medical record. Perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure that patient demographic, financial and mandated information is accurate based on available information, while providing patients and/or family members with required regulatory informational documents regarding their visit or admission. Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: * Excellent organizational and prioritization skills * Excellent guest relations and telephone demeanor * Ability to professional handle all interactions within a fast paced, hectic and emotionally charged clinical environment. * Ability to think critically in making decisions to ensure urgent or emergent situations are handled correctly within hospital policies and procedures. * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Excellent computer skills Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: * Minimum two years of computer experience * Minimum one to two years of experience in an acute hospital setting * Knowledge of medical terminology Educational Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
