Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers about our products, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience. This role involves assisting customers with their selections, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the retail space. Previous retail or supervisory experience, upselling and familiarity with POS systems, especially in a cannabis space is a plus. The Budtender plays a vital role in fostering customer loyalty and promoting our product in a professional manner.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance regarding our product range.
• Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about different products and their benefits.
• Upsell additional products or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume.
• Maintain proper merchandising standards, including stocking shelves and organizing displays.
• Ensure the retail area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy.
• Supervise or assist in supervising staff when necessary, ensuring smooth store operations.
• Promote a positive shopping environment through effective communication skills and friendly demeanor.
• Other duties may be assigned to help meet business needs such as stocking, cleaning, organizing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer engagement
• Experience in retail sales, upselling, merchandising, and stock management
• Supervising experience is preferred but not required; leadership qualities are a plus
• Ability to perform product demos confidently to educate customers about product features and benefits
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
• Excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming atmosphere
• Previous experience in a highly regulated cannabis atmosphere or retail environments is preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
