Production Supervisor Location: IKO Glass Fiber Inc., Chester, SC Department: Production Type: Full Time (FT/PT/Cont) Overview IKO Industries Ltd. is a market leader in the manufacturing of roofing and building materials, Canada‑owned and operated with production facilities worldwide. Responsibilities Promote and maintain IKO safety goals and ensure a safe work environment. Lead safety, housekeeping, and corrective actions within assigned projects and areas. Exemplify safety in all actions and lead by example. Lead primary employees to meet established goals including safety, quality, value, morale, and housekeeping. Plan and administer policies relating to all phases of personnel activity at the plant. Ensure positive employee relations and provide coaching and personal development. Make employment decisions and resolve employee issues through performance counseling. Enforce plant policies and procedures. Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide progress reports to management. Manage department priorities, exceptions, and special causes, notifying appropriate personnel as needed. Accurately record personnel records and complete required reports in a timely manner. Responsible for staffing per established levels based on efficiency levels and recommend changes as needed. Manage team scheduling, including work assignments, rotations, training, vacations, breaks, overtime, backup for absent employees, and shift rotations. Lead primary employee training through planning, scheduling, and coordination, ensuring new and cross‑training for required updates. Coordinate with the production manager on staffing, goals, and counseling of hourly associates. Establish employee goals and conduct quarterly performance reviews. Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications High school diploma required. Preferably with a minimum of eight years of relevant supervisory experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
