Associate Director- Supply Chain Data Science

Amgen seeks an Associate Director of Data Science to lead advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives transforming global supply chain operations. The role involves designing scalable digital solutions for forecasting and optimization, establishing and overseeing a new India-based digital capability team, and collaborating across functions to enhance medicine delivery. Position available remotely across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy AI, GenAI, and advanced analytics solutions for supply chain operations
- Lead development of scalable digital products and automation capabilities using complex datasets
- Establish and scale supply chain digital capability team in India with organizational design and governance
- Provide leadership for global teams of data scientists and digital developers across multiple locations
- Partner with business and IT teams to deliver scalable, business-aligned analytics solutions
Requirements
- People leadership and organizational management experience
- Experience building and scaling global or offshore technical teams
- Expertise in AI/ML, GenAI, advanced analytics, and digital product development
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with large, complex datasets and modern data architecture
- Bachelor's degree plus 7 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination
- Data visualization tools proficiency (Spotfire, Matplotlib)
