Key Responsibilities As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include: Conducting thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to create detailed and individualized treatment plans. Implementing a variety of treatment modalities—including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional movements—to help patients alleviate pain and improve their mobility. Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed while sharing these updates with the healthcare team. Collaborating with physicians and other professionals to optimize patient care and share advancements in therapy. Instructing and training patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises and the use of assistive devices to ensure effective at-home continuation of care. Engaging in ongoing education by participating in workshops, conferences, and training sessions to stay current in therapeutic techniques and industry standards. Patient Population / Client Focus Our diverse patient population ranges from children recovering from sports injuries to seniors rehabilitating post-surgery. You will work closely with individuals experiencing orthopedic challenges, such as fractures, arthritis, post-operative rehabilitation, or sports-related injuries, ensuring tailored care throughout their recovery journey. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other documentation technologies. Flexibility and adaptability to variations in patient care needs. Preferred Experience While we welcome applicants at all experience levels, prior work experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred but not required.
