TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320!

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry / Neuro / Stroke

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry / Neuro / Stroke unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for neurology and stroke patients, applying relevant clinical protocols and assessments including NIHSS
• Perform IV starts and other required clinical skills in accordance with unit standards
• Participate in floating, every-other-weekend shifts, and holiday coverage as required within the contract
• Complete required pre-start orientation modules prior to first day

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia or compact RN license in hand at time of submittal – no exceptions
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records – no exceptions
• Must pass a facility EKG/telemetry written test with a score of 80% or higher (one attempt; no remediation)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with neurology and/or stroke patient populations
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills including rhythm identification, interval measurements, and complex arrhythmia recognition
• Comfort with patient ratios of 1:7
