About This Opportunity

As an Equipment Operator at Rockford, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites to ensure safe and efficient operations. You will work closely with the project team to execute tasks related to the excavation, grading, and lifting of materials. This role requires a solid understanding of construction practices and the ability to work effectively on site to meet deadlines. This position reports to the Site Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes for site preparation and material handling.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and performance.
• Follow blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure construction operations are completed correctly.
• Coordinate with team members and site supervisors to manage the flow of materials and equipment on site.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices while operating machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues promptly.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
