Senior Linux & Cloud Administrator - Pacemaker (f/m/d) - SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (415048)

We are looking for an experienced Linux & Cloud Administrator to support our multinational team by providing L3/L4 expert support for all Linux OS & pacemaker customer issues. As a Senior Linux & Cloud Administrator and Pacemaker expert, you will be the Last Line of Defense for troubleshooting complex Pacemaker software and Linux OS/infrastructure issues across all platforms. Responsibilities include: Accountable for ensuring round-the-clock availability of SAP systems operating within SAP ECS. Serving as the elevated L3/L4 support for critical production issues. Respond, troubleshoot and resolve alerts & incidents in the Linux OS or infra layer – VMWare/ Azure/ AWS/ GCP/ BareMetal. Deploy, configure and manage Pacemaker based HA clusters across various platforms. Fine tune cluster configurations to optimize failover performance, resource availability and system resilience. Troubleshoot complex Pacemaker software and Linux OS/infrastructure issues across all platforms. Identify and resolve architectural and design issues in existing Pacemaker setup. Administer Linux servers for performance, patching and troubleshooting. Participate in incident management, troubleshoot service requests, resolve downtime extensions. Develop and implement backup/recovery, DR and high availability strategies for critical workloads. Implement automation solutions to streamline platform operations, enhancing efficiency and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration, documentation and knowledge sharing. Take on-call/on-duty/weekend tasks based on shift schedule. Apply ITIL incident management processes to ensure timely resolution. Qualifications: 8+ years of related professional experience. Advanced technical background of Linux based server operating systems (Redhat or SUSE). 1-2 years of experience in Linux HA clusters, preferably Pacemaker, with relevant training/certifications. Practical experience with OS operation, upgrades, and security patching. Advanced expertise in cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP and expert in any one of them. Good understanding of IT security, OS hardening. Experience in scripting (e.g., Shell, Python, Go, etc.) and IaC tools like Ansible. Ability to create documentation for junior colleagues to implement technical plans as per customer requirements. Fluency in English language and the ability to work in global, multi-cultural teams. Ability to continuously acquire new knowledge in an independent and proactive way. Good analytical and solution-oriented thinking. Strong customer service focus.
