This role will be a Senior Director reporting directly to the Sector President for the FAA BNATCS contract.The Solutions Director/Program Governance Director is responsible for helping to translate high-level program strategy into actionable plans, facilitating cross-functional alignment, and maintaining operational rigor across engineering, safety, quality, acquisition, subcontract program management, and organizational change management (OCM). This position is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with deep experience managing large-scale technical programs and the ability to establish quality, cost, and schedule performance in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.Work Location:This position is 100% on-site, primarily located in Herndon, VA, with an alternate work location available in Bowie, MD. Candidates must be able to work on-site at one of these locations based on program requirements.In this position, you will:The Solutions Director/Program Governance Director helps oversee execution across all phases of program delivery—from requirements validation, systems engineering, and deliverable management as a partner to the program delivery organization in alignment with FAA acquisition management systems (AMS) and federal program standards.Coordinates the delivery of services from the BNATCS Architecture and Systems Engineering, Chief Technology Office and Quality Assurance functions.Responsible for coordination of activities across the BNATCS Portfolio team of NAS staff, Sector Functional Support, Safety, BNATCS Fusion Cell, and Organizational Effectiveness teams in the delivery of the Enterprise NEEDS packageManages the process for receiving and responding to FAA NEEDS packagesProvides day-to-day leadership and integration a multi-disciplinary workforce Drives risk, issue, and opportunity management, including identification, mitigation planning, and escalation of programmatic, technical, safety, and operational risksEnsures rigorous compliance with corporate, customer, and program-level policy, procedures, and regulations to include ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D, as applicableSupports the Sector in customer engagement and executive communications, including program reviews, milestone briefings, and response to senior-level inquiriesChampions continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiencies in processes, tools, and organizational structure across a large, geographically distributed workforceActs as a key steward of program culture, reinforcing values of safety, transparency, technical excellence, and disciplined executionQualificationsRequired ExperienceU.S. Citizenship RequiredMust have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance18 years of experience in program or project management or quality assurance within large government programsDemonstrated ability to manage complex integration, multidisciplinary teams and matrixed organizations across a large geographic footprintExperience working with complex contract types, incentive and award fee structures, and secure supply chain best practicesAbility to work across multiple Domain areas seamlesslyCollaborative leadership style that builds trust with quick, effective decision makingFamiliarity with enterprise delivery tools and experience coordinating timely delivery of program artifacts, resolving blockers and conflicts, and coaching/ managing delivery teams against performance metricsFamiliarity with FAA systems, airspace programs, or other high-availability, safety-critical systems in some capacityExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skillsUnderstanding of compliance at both the corporate and government levelAbility to communicate across sector and functional domains Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or National Airspace System (NAS)Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Aviation Management, or similar field, Master’s Degree preferredProficiency in scheduling tools and risk managementProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent program management credential, Program Management Professional (PMP), Risk Management Professional (RMP), or equivalent management certificationDemonstrated Quality, Reliability or Safety systems development/execution; FAA experience in these disciplines preferred #BNATCPeraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
