We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. Issues safe work permit documentation and performs lock-out tag-out of equipmentAcquire knowledge/ability in all plant operations including processes and equipmentExhibit instrumentation and mechanical aptitudeLearn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), corporate procedures; read and interpret blueprints, flow charts, process piping ISOs, simple schematics, P&IDs, electrical schematics; perform basic math operationsKeep accurate records and be diligent in documentation and record retention policies and proceduresDemonstrate knowledge & understanding of control board and operator interface computer consolesPerform operator rounds, water samples, truck loading, operations PM'sMaintain and expect high housekeeping and organizational standardsPerform other duties as assigned by Plant ManagementAll other duties based on business needs____________________Are you a MATCH?Job Responsibilities:High school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical Associates degree preferred3+ years of technical training or operations experienceAbility to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictateAbility to work nights, weekends and possibly holidays in order to meet shift and on-call requirementsValid Driver’s LicenseKnowledge/understanding of instrumentation, rotating equipment and piping systemsFamiliarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (Process Safety Management, EPA regulations, FDA regulations, state/local regulations)Knowledge in the proper methods of locking out and isolating equipmentAbility to use computers-knowledge of Microsoft Office softwareAbility to work in a team environment; demonstrated self motivated attitudeGood verbal/written communication skills in order to deal effectively with management and external customersQualified in operation of the forklift, man lift and overhead crane is preferredHighly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workPhysical Requirements:Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, and FRC clothingFull range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs.Able to climb ladders, work off elevated platforms/surfacesAble to work in non-conditioned environment for extended periodsAble to enter confined spaces for inspection, testing and workOur Differences make our PerformanceAt Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.We welcome and consider applications from all qualified applicants, regardless of their background.
