Job Summary The Digital Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing digital strategies that drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion. This role leads the commercial performance and customer experience of the company’s e-commerce channels, including digital merchandising, search and product discovery, SEO, paid media, marketing automation, digital content, and performance analytics. The Digital Marketing Director uses customer behavior, performance data, and market insights to identify opportunities to improve the online buying journey and overall digital experience. The role partners closely with Sales, Product Development, Customer Service, Marketing, and Software Development to translate commercial and customer needs into digital priorities, while Software Development retains ownership of technical architecture, development, integrations, infrastructure, and system functionality. Key Responsibilities Digital Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies that increase online revenue, customer acquisition, brand awareness, and market share. E-Commerce Management: Lead website merchandising, category optimization, product launches, promotional campaigns, and conversion rate optimization (CRO). Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimize integrated marketing campaigns across paid search, email marketing, social media, display advertising, remarketing, and other digital channels. Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Execute technical and on-page SEO strategies and improve organic search visibility. Marketing Automation: Manage lifecycle marketing including email campaigns, lead nurturing, abandoned cart programs, customer segmentation, and automated journeys. Sales Enablement: Develop product literature, technical bulletins, catalogs, presentations, and training materials. Market Research & Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis, VOC initiatives, and customer behavior analysis. Content Strategy: Develop website content, technical resources, blogs, videos, and customer communications. Performance Analytics: Utilize CRM, ERP, Google Analytics, and BI tools to monitor KPIs and ROI. Website Optimization: Improve usability, search functionality, navigation, personalization, mobile experience, and conversion performance. Product Marketing: Support product launches, merchandising, pricing initiatives, and digital positioning. Event Coordination: Support trade shows, webinars, customer events, and conferences. Relationship Management: Build relationships with customers, sales teams, partners, agencies, and technology vendors. Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets and optimize ROI. Leadership: Lead internal marketing resources, agencies, and cross-functional teams. Qualifications & Skills Experience Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, product marketing, or related leadership roles. Experience driving measurable revenue growth through digital channels. Experience with website optimization, SEO, paid media, and marketing automation. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives. Experience managing agencies and marketing technology platforms. Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Technical Knowledge: Experience within hydraulic, industrial, manufacturing, motion control, fluid power, or other technical industries is strongly preferred. Skills Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong project management and organizational skills. Proficiency with CRM, ERP, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and marketing automation platforms. Working knowledge of SEO, paid media, and website merchandising. Creative, data-driven mindset. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative organization. Travel: Ability to travel as required for customer visits, sales meetings, industry conferences, and trade shows. Success Measures Growth in digital revenue and online sales.
