Pediatrician (MD)Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Pediatrician will provide comprehensive, community-based primary care to infants, children, and adolescents in a patient-centered setting. This role is ideal for a physician who is passionate about delivering equitable care and building long-term relationships with patients and families.The Pediatrician will serve a diverse, underserved population and play a key role in addressing social determinants of health. Success in this role requires adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and a genuine commitment to hands-on, patient-centered care in a resource-conscious environment.Essential Job FunctionsProvide full-scope pediatric primary care, including preventive visits, acute care, and chronic disease management.Manage a consistent patient panel with an emphasis on continuity of care and long-term health outcomes.Conduct thorough assessments and make independent clinical decisions across a wide range of pediatric conditions.Provide clear, practical health education to patients and caregivers, often tailoring guidance to varying levels of health literacy.Collaborate closely with nursing, care coordination, and behavioral health teams to support whole person care.Take ownership of follow-up care, including labs, referrals, and hospital transitions.Participate in immunization initiatives and community health effortsMaintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR.Contribute to Quality Improvement initiatives focused on access, outcomes, and patient engagement.Supervise and support advanced practice providers and clinical staff as needed.Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven culture.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation and CertificationMD from an accredited institution.Board Certified or Board Eligible in PediatricsActive New York State medical license and DEA registrationBLS or PALS certificationExperienceExperience in community health, outpatient primary care, or similar settings strongly preferred.Demonstrated interest in working with underserved or high need populations.Comfortable practicing broad-spectrum pediatrics without reliance on extensive subspecialty supportSpecial Skills and AttributesStrong commitment to community health and reducing healthcare disparities.Comfortable in a high-touch, high-accountability care model with direct patient responsibilityAbility to work effectively in a resource-limited environment while maintaining high-quality care.Adaptable and solutions-oriented with a hands-on approachExcellent communication skills, especially with diverse and multicultural populationsCollaborative mindset with willingness to collaborate across disciplines.Efficient and organized in a moderate-to-high volume outpatient setting.Work Environment & ExpectationsCommunity-based patient-centered setting serving a diverse patient population.Emphasis on access, continuity, and relationship-based carePhysicians are expected to take an active role in patient follow-up and care coordination.
