Business Systems Analyst I

REPORTS TO: IT Project Manager, Business System Analysts Lead or ERP Support Manager SUPERVISES: N/A Summary Entry-level business analysts who work under direct supervision by performing a variety of tasks including developing and maintaining various databases and generating reports while working on a variety of projects. Duties / Responsibilities Supports data gathering and provides review and analysis of data. Ensures data integrity, participates in data quality control and validation, and produces requirements documents for various business development activities. Creates and executes test scripts under supervision. Performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the project management team to prioritize deliverables and negotiate on product functionalities. Creates detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD) and translates it into functional specifications. Provides analytic support by regarding data interpretation from DB supplied queries. Partners with development and analytic teams to provide reporting on software solutions. Participates in Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing. Complies with Austal's employee handbook general guidelines, company procedures and policies. Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience Associate Degree in Business, Computer Applications, Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or similar discipline required. Two years’ related work experience may be considered in lieu of an Associate degree. Demonstrated working knowledge of computers and applicable software proficiency required.
