Operations Management Trainee

Operations Management Trainee opportunity available in Las Vegas, NV for an entry-level candidate seeking a long-term career path in transportation operations, customer service, equipment rental, and branch management. Key Responsibilities
This position is 80% physically outdoors in the transportation yard and 20% in the office
- Assist customers with trailer rental and leasing needs, explain equipment options, and help identify the right solution for each account.
- Inspect trailers in the transportation yard using a handheld device, including checking for damage, equipment issues, and repair needs.
- Support account management activities, including customer service, credit and collections assistance, and insurance verification.
- Coordinate repair work with vendors, mechanics, and internal teams to help keep equipment available and operational.
- Use technology systems to complete inventories, manage equipment data, track activity, and support daily branch operations.
- Split time between outdoor yard operations and office-based customer support, administrative, and operational tasks.

Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Compensation: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour.
- Location: Las Vegas, NV. Onsite
- Office hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.
- Available schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing in business, operations, supply chain, or a similar field of study
- 1 to 2 years of equivalent relevant experience in a customer-facing role or internship.
- Must be willing to relocate out of state to another nationwide facility upon promotion into an operations or sales position.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future work authorization sponsorship.
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle complaints, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Comfortable working approximately 80 percent outdoors in a transportation yard and 20 percent in an office environment.
- Ability to use handheld devices, technology systems, and operational tools to manage equipment and complete daily tasks.
- Self-starter with strong motivation, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and a conscientious work style.
- Interest in long-term career growth within operations management, branch leadership, or business-to-business sales.

Preferred Qualifications

- Internship, or early career experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, equipment rental, fleet operations, customer service, or sales.
- Interest in developing into a future Operations Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager, or Outside Sales professional.
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on training environment that combines physical outdoor work, customer communication, and office administration.
